A timely death

So guys...
After thinking about this for the last month and trying to weigh up my situation I've decided to suspend my blog for a while.
I've started work and there is a confidentiality agreement in place so I suddenly feel tongue-tied in writing about my life.
Especially as I spend 8 hours of it every day in the office.
There are also some things in my personal life that are just not going as well as they could be right now.
I'm finding it difficult to give enough attention to everything at home, work, kids and sport and get these 'personal life wrinkles' ironed out without trying to keep up my blog as well.
Then there's that little eating disorder which is becoming more of a problem that I would like to believe.
I want to concentrate on my real writing, and my real life for a while.
Especially the real life part.
So, anyway, cutting a long story short, thanks for reading with me!
It's been fun!
Maybe we'll do it again sometime.

I will miss your posts...Being a "foreigner" like you in NL, I though of you as an ally..LOL...I use to lurk everyday...I hope everything will work out. GOOD LUCK with everything!
Ash, good luck with everything. I'll still be here if and when you choose to come back. I really hope your new job turns out well, that things on the personal side get themselves ironed out and that you find happiness.
From a lurker, not a (usual) commenter, may I just say how I have enjoyed reading your blog Ashleigh, but I totally understand your need to take a break. I hope the life wrinkles get sorted out, and that you enjoy the new job.
Blessings!
I always enjoyed your blog, and will miss reading it. Good luck to you in all your endeavors.
Best of luck with everything Ashleigh. I'll miss your blog but you must focus on the important things in your life and if your blog it not fulfilling something for you then it is indeed time to let it rest. I hope we'll see you back again but either way take good care of yourself and your family.
All the Best!
Hey, hope you are ok. Enjoy the new job and good luck with everything else.
I also blog pretty erratically now and don't get half as deep or thorough as I would like.
You know where to find me if you need to talk.
All the best.
I'm sad to see you stop, but I understand life happens ;) I do wish you well!
Good luck with everything. I'll miss all your stories about growing up in Africa. I understand though - there's only so much time in the day and once work eats up the best part of your energy, what's left needs to go into real life. My blog is getting less frequent the more work I take on too. Hope you feel like coming back again one of these days.
Oh, I'll miss you Ash.
May your days be happy, may all your dreams come true.
Being swamped myself I can sympathize, but I will miss your blogs and hope that all will be well with you and yours.
Hi Ash,
sorry to hear you are stopping the blog. I wish you all the best!
Being swamped myself I can sympathize, but I will miss your blogs and hope that all will be well with you and yours.
I'll miss your posts! Good luck with the new job and everything else - keep in touch!
Take good care, Ash. I wish you all the best.
Hey Ash!
Sorry I didn't reply to your last e-mail but I've been in Italy the last few weeks and have only just gotten around to catching up on my post.
I hope this isn't a definite "death" for your blog, and that you do eventually resurrect it when you're feeling more settled.
Take care of yourself and if you ever feel like chatting, you know my contact deals.
*Big Hug*
Oh, Ash.
Do whatever is necessary for you to relax, spend time with loved ones, figure out those tricky situations, and above all take care of yourself.
I will look forward to seeing you here again - after all, you've left us hanging in the middle of the alphabet!
I wish you all the best, lots of wisdom and less wrinkles as time passes on...
Good luck and take care!!!
I'm sorry to hear that things are difficult at the moment. I hope they get better soon.
Your musings and writing will be missed - good luck with everything, here's hoping you get to iron out your wrinkles.
I'm sorry to hear that you've stopped writing here!
I wish you all the best and good luck with the new job!
I just found your blog--and i like your honesty and open heart. I have spent alot of time in Holland and while I LOVE IT..i also feel a little sad when I am there.
Don't know why exactly-- but its maybe the weather?
i think its important to remember the possibilities in life...all of them even if we don't see/feel them right now. Hang in there sister..keep the faith--i think its very obvious you are not alone.( it seems the world is always alot smaller than we remember it to be..)---Take good care-- Kat
Consider this a sabbatical. Come back when the time is right. Meanwhile, don't be a stranger. Stop by and visit from time to time.
Peace.
Oh dear - and just when I FINALLY got you on my Google Reader and had a fighting chance of keeping up to date with your posts :( But as I've said to other people before, blogging as a hobby is meant to be FUN and if it's a burden or adding stress to your life, then it's time to give it a rest. Writing about what you are doing/eating/seeing/feeling is, after all, a poor substitute for actually doing/eating/seeing feeling ;-)
Best of luck with sorting out your personal life and all success in the new job. Please feel free to stay in e-mail contact (us Saffers have to stick together!) even if you aren't blogging. And if you come back, we'll be waiting right here for you.
Best of luck - I chanced upon your blog due to a search for the gooseberry cultivar London. I blog too, but not about my personal life, but about a hobby I have, and I also love gardening.
Take care!
I'm sorry to hear such bad news. I wish you all the best for the future.
hugs
I understand, it's sad though but I do understand. Go ahead and iron, prioritize, hug the kids and please? Take care sweetie!
