Busy, and a book giveaway

I've been so busy since school started on the 20th August.
Birthday parties, work, PTA meetings, my class starting again next week, applying for new jobs, sports, dr & dentist appointments.
Sadly, the blog has been a little neglected.
So, to rectify that, and to celebrate my blog passing 100 000 page views, which I also neglected, I'm giving away some books!
I've read and enjoyed all these books, immensely, and I heartily recommend all of them.
Ray Kluun's Love Life
A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian by Marina Lewycka
Joanna Trollope's Second Honeymoon
If you fancy a chance at winning one of these leave a comment telling me how fabulous I am.
Ok, you don't have to tell me I'm fabulous, but bribery is a very valid form of currency, you know ... ;)
Comment with valid email address please and the boys will do a draw! You can enter from anywhere in the world, and I'll post to you.
Be quick!

100 000 hits!? No way! Wow I am impressed... is that just since you moved to this format too?
I think I have 12000, clearly I am not nearly as interesting as you. ;)
I'd love a book, I love winning ANYTHING, BUT the real reason I wanted to comment is because OH MY WORD you are looking FABULOUS doll! (said in my campest gay accent) Really that photo is beautiful. Fresh and beautiful and very vibrant.
You are clearly doing something right. Well done and keep it up!

And I still want a knitted uterus (next time you feel like knitting) ;)
I hear you with the being busy! Super Mom to the rescue! (Or in my case, at best, a Super Hero Sidekick Mom) My oldest started kindergarten last week, middle boy started preschool yesterday and husband started new job yesterday as well. Tomorrow is Open House for my oldest's school. Playdate today and soccer starts next week. And middles 3rd birthday the 16th. WHEW! Im exhausted just typing it.
My boys love books, so please enter my name! And come by my blog if you want to enter Cupcake Hero! xo
What a great photo! Fabulous, even :) Seriously, if I had photos of myself and my son that looked anywhere near that good, they would be all over my blog. As it is now, I don't think there's even one...
Doesn't back-to-school just make life crazy? I think my son has been back for just over two weeks and we're already on our second sick day. It's a very sharing group at school this year ;)
Wow, Ash, you look like a movie star!!!
Um, that's genuine. I've already read the books, so I don't "need" to flatter you. You just look incredible!!
Well, you certainly are gorgeous!
Awesome picture, Ashleigh! Joe's a really cutey! And yeah, I'm a home schooler, and September's still kickin' my butt! Thank goodness I have blogs like yours to 'get away from it all;)!
Looking forward to 'K!'Congratulations on 100,000! I'm not surprised at all!
Ah...now I understand!
Ah...Ah...Ah...Awesome looking you!
Ray Kluun's please!!!!!!!!
I have an email to prove how fabulous you are!!!
kisses.
Feel free to add my name! You know, I just recently commented about my connection to Ray Kluun's Love Life and how my book club is reading it but I was thinking about skipping it - could this be fate? ;)
And since you're giving me the chance, you are fabulous! I love your blog - you are a model of integration into Dutch society that drop-outs like myself are in awe of . :)
Why are you fabulous? You left your native country and started a new life - juggling a new culture, a new language, a new climate, and a ton of mind-boggling bureaucracy with incredible grace and determination in this little swamp of clogs and cheese.
Okay, I posted a bit late but I'm hoping the Marina Lewycka book is still up for grabs!
Major congrats on your page views. I've found your blog within the past few months and I try to read it every day-great little facts about your childhood.
Oh sweet jebbers christmas on a popsicle stick woman, you can NOT be a blogger any longer.
You just can't.
You look too good and you have a life.
So there.
:-p
Hi Ash,
It's so easy to be complimentary to you. You are a great writer and beautiful too!
I do hope that everything is going well at the florist shop.
Great photo - and congrats on the number of blog page views. But, really its no wonder - your blog is I think a nice mix of family, life both in Holland and Africa and of course the recipes. Am still looking forward to the mac and cheese one you mentioned a long while back.
What a sweet picture :)
That is such a great happy photo and you do look stunning!
I haven't been by for ages so I must catch up on your childhood stories in Africa now.
Congrats on all those hits too - I don't know where to look to see how many I've had but it's nothing like that!

So nice to see a photo of you, Ash! You look gorgeous.
I won't be putting in for the book draw, but thank you for the kind offer. Glad to hear your blog has had so many hits. I look forward to mine maturing and being a big, grown-up blog like yours.
