Kilometres of doughnuts!

On Sunday I had to make some to check the recipe and yesterday I made a whole lot more for the eindfeest at school.
I love the recipe, it comes from the Barmy Baker, who made them a few weeks ago. I was smitten instantly and had to find a good reason to make some. The eindfeest seemed a great reason!
The recipe makes 35 big doughnuts or around 60 mini doughnuts like the ones I made for the party. Brad's colleagues got to eat some big ones on Monday, which were made with half wholemeal flour and they pronounced them good, if a bit heavy. The ones for the party are made using patisserie flour.
Life is crazy busy this week, work, classes, end of school, but I have a great craft project which I'll be able to show you on Sunday. Yes, I'm doing something that involves getting my sewing machine out of the cupboard!
Anyway, I still have cupcakes to make, so I'll leave you to enjoy my doughnut pictures.

Oh my god, Ash, homemade donuts. Oh .... You're too cruel!!
Well, there goes my diet - one look at that pic and I went up 10kg. Reading the recipe added another 5kg... The thought of cupcakes another 2kg...
Kids and adults must have loved you for making those!
I feel as thought I can smell and taste those doughnuts across the sea!

Yum! I'm sure the kids (and the adults) loved them!
