Avondvierdaagse 2007

Here's a link to the current Avondvierdaagse website, but it doesn't give much of the history. Good thing I outlined it in last year's post.
So tonight is the last night. I walked the first night with the whole family, the second night Brad and Seb walked, last night Joe and I helped at the 'drinks and coffee' stand at the halfway point and tonight we're walking again.
It's such a wonderful event that I've volunteered to help with the coordination of the event in our neighbourhood for next year.
Any other Dutch residents walking the Avondvierdaagse this week?

We sat it out for the first time in 4 years. I'm afraid this spring just really got away from me. Max was disappointed, but we'll do it next year with both the boys.
The weather was so bad, than when we arrived at the meeting point they actually had decided to cancel... No grand finale for our youngest, but fortunately we all kept our good mood.
Yeah, we are actually walking with the whole family this year. Which means that the 8 yo is slightly upset that he still has to do the 5 km (he wanted to do the 10, like most of his class) but he found a friend so he is a lot happier.
Our 4 yo is walking the 5 km too, and quite a trooper about it. All to get the medal in the end of course ;), but he is the only participant from group 1 so we are mighty proud.
