So I have been stitching! I just couldn't share any pictures until now.

This is the pocket I made for the Quaker exchange on Legacy. I used Gentle Arts Sampler Thread and motifs from the Ackworth pattern book by Jacqueline Holdsworth. The little pocket is made from banding and the lining is a cotton fabric I found at the dressmaking store.

I really enjoyed stitching this for my partner, Nancy.

I've published set of step by step photos and instructions on Flickr if anyone wants to try and make one of these.

Unfortunately, I've had to cancel my attendance at the Ackworth seminar in Leeds in November. I was looking forward to attending, but it's not possible and I know that the places are sought after.

Perhaps my cancelling will allow someone else to attend.

Brilliant, Ash! I mean, it looks great, and your directions are fantastic!!! I'm off now to find out how I can make a hedebo loop, as this looks much better than the loops I've made for closing MA's. Great stuff!

Love the pocket! That banded linen is really useful.
Sorry to hear that you have cancelled your trip to the Ackworth Seminar - I am on the waiting list for a place, so.... 1 step nearer the top of the list!

Hey Ash, your bag looks too good to be true! You are one gifted lady!
As for rentals in Hooksiel, for your well-earned mini-mini-mini-break, google 'Vermietungsservice Nordsee', and send them an e-mail. They're wonderfully sweet people, they still have houses available at 77 euro per night. I wish you joy!
