Wow, it's been busy around here! Friday was the end of year festival at Seb's school. It was great!

There were two big trestle tables set out with sweet things on one table and savoury on the other. There was a sate stall and a bar selling wine, beer, fizzy drinks and chips (crisps). When you came in you bought books of tickets in 50c and 25c denominations in quantities of 2.50 euro or 5 euro.

The great part was that you could get a whole meal for 1.25! The savoury stand had three portions for 1.25 and the sweet stand had one item for 25c. I saw what the servers were up to as well - the poorer families were getting a full meal for their 1.25 which I thought was great!

I made 18 each of pizzas, chocolate chip cookies, chelsea buns and cupcakes. The cupcakes and pizzas went immediately but the other stuff people weren't so sure of. I'll make more cupcakes and more pizzas next year.

Yesterday we had Seb and Joe's judo exams and they both got their first yellow 'slip' which is a step on the way to having a yellow belt. They get two of each colour, yellow, orange, green, blue, brown, black. These get sewn onto each end of their white belt until they are eligible for the next belt colour and so it goes on. We were so proud of the boys - they did great! After judo we went to the hardware store, where surprisingly, Brad and I did not argue. We got the stuff to tile the toilet floor, a new toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser. Brad put the mirror up in the bathroom, mounted the soap dispenser and the toilet roll holder and later in the afternoon we tiled the floor in the toilet. Tonight we'll do the grouting when the tile adhesive is dry.

Last night I had a phone counselling session with Jan Hunt from the Natural Child Project. I needed some help with Joe who seems to have lost all his self-confidence, and she gave me some excellent advice. I recommend her services, especially for moms who are isolated.

And today it's warm out there so we're off to the pool. Seeya!

What great pictures, and a fun end-of-school celebration. And thanks for the tip on the Natural Child Project.

Wish I could've bought some of your delicious cooking!
