First of all, look at this! Kiddierecords.com is offering records from the 1940s and 1950s transferred to MP3 free for people to download, or you can buy the CD with the music already burned. This is a wonderful use of the internet and of MP3 technology. I love it! I'll be asking Brad to download them and burn some for the kids. I was directed to this link by the fabulous Mollycoddle.

This reminded me of one of the websites my kids loved to play at - PlayhouseRadio.com - which seems to be demised! It was a wonderful resource and a great idea. I wonder why it disappeared? We had some CDs from them and I always ordered them as gifts, but I must admit, the last time I looked at the site was about a year ago and now the domain name is no longer active. A huge pity.

Now onto the dreams. I've had some odd dreams recently. The first one, early last week, was one in which I spent my time running up and down stairs endlessly. I woke up with sore legs!

Then on Saturday night one in which my hair was cut to 1cm length all over. I have very long hair and I've never had it cut short. In the dream I could feel the soft bristles against my palms when I ran my hands over my head. Strange. Maybe I need a dream therapist.

New biscuit coloured tiles. The yellow ones are the old ones.

In renovation news, we tiled the wall in the bathroom! I am so proud of us! Mostly of Brad because he is the one who cut the tiles and spread the tile paste. And of myself for motivating us to do it, laying most of the tiles and working out how to get the grout paste to the right consistency. It looks very professional, and I don't think that we would have gotten a better result if we had paid someone to do it. Brad also painted the bathroom with mould-retardant paint this weekend.

We still have to: paint the tiles (the new ones are a different colour to the 1950s ones that were in there as you can see in the picture above), and put together the unit that holds the basins.

After the plumber has been we have to get mirrors to fit the space in between the basin unit and the cupboard units above and get an electrician in to wire a socket for us for a rechargeable toothbrush/shaver/light fitting. I need to buy a roller blind for the window and a new shower curtain.

Then we get to tile the toilet walls up to door height (they are up to hip height at the moment), paint the rest of the toilet room and tile the toilet floor.

It's looking great though! I'm pleased with how much work we're getting done and especially with how motivated Brad has been about getting this done.

We watched Cars this weekend. It was enjoyable, but even Joe found it a little boring in places.

Last night Brad and I started watching 'The Triangle'. It's good! Better than a lot of the movies we've watched recently and it has Eric Stolz in it. Thus it has to be good.

Next weekend Over the Hedge comes out at the cinema here. Any guesses on where we'll be?
