Blog Envy

I am suffering from blog envy.
Everyone else writes more succinctly, has better pictures, expresses themselves more easily, can stick within a theme, punctuates correctly etc. And they don't have never-ending sentences that begin with 'and'.
So, who do I envy?
I envy Neil at Citizen of the Month. He seems somewhat schizophrenic at times (you should see how often bloglines refers me to posts that just aren't there), but he can evoke a scene well (even if its a scene in a rowboat that I really don't want a mental picture of), and of course, I identify deeply with Sophia.
John at NHS BlogDoc is an English GP working in the NHS. Reading his blog makes me glad for our Dutch medical system and yet, conversely, rather sad at the problems the world's greatest socialised medicine experiment seems to be facing. I wholeheartedly support the premise behind the NHS, but there seems no way to keep it workable.
Veronica at V-grrrrl. Veronica is the Grrrrl I want to be when I grow up. Perfect prose mixed with family life.
Jane at Yarnstorm for her photographs, and the mixture of succinct writing, crafts and family life.
I envy David all the time. He lives in Paris, he is a famous cook, he speaks French, he writes for a living and he has the boys from Levi all over him. What more could a person want from life?
Farmgirl, whose photos, obvious love for her work and her animals keep me coming back for more. Read her Windridge Farm stories too.
Amanda at SouleMama writes about her family beautifully, and intersperses her stories with shoes, crafts and life. I love it when a writer's work resonates with who they are, and this one does.
Vicki at Turkey Feathers is inspiring - lots of finished work, kids, life, turkeys, deer. A glimpse into another life. She has a shop selling vintage embroidery transfers. Her daughter makes the most fabulous doll house sweets and treats. You have to see them to believe them. I still can't work out how she does it.
Kiddley is so cool I have nothing to say except 'GO AND SEE!'
And finally, a blog that Brad and I both read and say to each other, 'How come those people have our life?' If you're a dad, or a mom, or thinking of being one, or hell, even if you have no interest in kids at all, go read Laid Off Dad.

You forgot to include yourself as someone who inspires (and makes hungry)!
Well, I like Turkeyfeathers too, and I popped over to read the Levi story on David's blog and I'm off for a cold shower now. Ha ha.
Seriously, as I've mentioned, I love the look of your blog, and I always come back to read more (even before I met you and found out how great you are IRL!).
Thanks for the kind words. It means a lot to me, especially since this past week I've felt so out of sorts.
I think we all suffer from "blog envy" from time to time. I know I do!
You've done us all a great service with this post--introducing us to some new blogs and personalities to check out and enjoy. One of the best things about the blogosphere is how we entertain and inspire each other simply by being who we are and writing our lives.
Oh my goodness, I just spent half an hour over at Laid Off Dad laughing my butt off! Thanks for that. And yes, I adore Kiddley too, though it makes me feel ever so slightly inadequate as a parent!
