Weird Ads, a Date to Note and Food

Eek, I seem to have completely confused Google Ads! I don't know what's coming up for you but I'm getting weird neurological ads. Gah! I need to write something quilting or stitching related to get them to go away!
Yesterday Brad and I celebrated 10 years of living together. We decided to try going out on Tuesday night instead of Wednesday (football evening for the kids) and we thought we'd try a Greek restaurant called Alexandros which is near us. It was recommended by the same person who recommended the divine Praq, so I thought it would be good. Big mistake!
The closest this cuisine came to Greek food was the overdone decor in the restaurant. They didn't even have the real names for the dishes on the menu and everything was made of pork (not big in Greek cuisine). The servings were too big, and there were no vegetables in sight. The restaurant claimed 'child friendly' in the ads on dinnersite.nl but it was about as far from child-friendly as you could get. And the final, cardinal sin - no separate non-smoking section. We shall not be repeating this experiment. I don't know about you, but I hate paying for a meal which I could have made myself and excelled at.
I hope this isn't a sign for our next ten years together? We'll have to do something special for our 10 year wedding anniversary to make up for it ;)
I'm deep in Ebay this week listing things. Most of my cross stitch stash and Brad's old laptop computers, plus some books etc - all of it must go! Listing stuff is SO time consuming. I use turbo lister, but its just taking the photos and putting everything together that takes ages.
Last night was the last football training of the season so we have three months of freedom. The boys had a great time though and really enjoyed their final practice.
I had a friend come over yesterday afternoon and she brought me loads and loads of books so I have a lot to read for the next few months. Some nice chick-lit, a few modern classics - all of it looks cool. My heart rate monitor (a pink Polar F6) finally arrived and it's fabulous! I can't wait to try it out at the gym on Saturday. I've recorded my resting heart rate - a very nice 57 - but I have a fitness test to do to get my max.
Today I'm going to try and find a new summer coat - mine is miles too big and its cold here at the moment and the wind is blowing up the bottom of the coat! Then I'm babysitting from 2 - 6 and next week is school holidays again.
Our picture today is a mosaic of some of the things we've had to eat in May!
Edited to say: I didn't make all these myself! Only the first five (working left to right) - the bottom five are from my Mother's Day lunch at Praq - which was well-worth going out for. Just in case anyone was wondering! Like Amy and Veronica for example ;)

You never cease to amaze me. Really, with your artistic and creative talents, you should be a photo stylist!
Love the food mosiac - it's cool! Better than cookbook pics.
Greek restaurants can be really hit or miss here, but at least they are usually really child-friendly. So sorry you had a bad dining experience - but it certainly doesn't reflect on your next 10 years living together!! LOL
What's your eBay seller ID? I'd like to check out your sales... :-)
WHAT? Does that mean you cooked all those things? I'm seriously impressed. No wonder you were disappointed in a mediocre restaurant -- you are certainly a gourmet!!

Wow! Those food pictures make me hungry :) Good luck on your summer-coat hunt!
