Easter Egg Bags Easter Treat Bags

Today I finished off these Easter Treat Bags. The bags themselves are actually purchased - at 3 euros a piece I couldn't make them for the same price, so I bought these when I saw them and then personalised them with the kid's names using coton perle. They'll have fun filling them with Easter Eggs on Sunday. For my Dutch readers who may not have 'Paastasjes' yet - these ones were from the Hema.

Yesterday I got a fantastic amount of stash in the post!

First of all, my Blackbird Designs Quaker Garden Loose Feathers automatic came, with the Birds of a Feather Spring and Summer Garden that I ordered at the same time and some Autumn Blush and Autumn Fields 32 ct linen fabric. I know some people wanted to see what the fabric for the Blackbird Designs Quaker Garden looked like - if you click the link above you can see my scan of it. Its not quite as light as that though and I couldn't get a better colour balance. The fabric is pretty stiff though, so if you like a softer fabric I would advise you to switch it out.

The Autumn Blush and Autumn Fields are beautiful Zweigart hand-dyed fabrics which will be used for some Carriage House Samplings designs I have here waiting!

Drema at Needlecraft Corner is so good about mailing and everything from her comes so fast! I had the order in by Friday and yesterday it was here!

My Not So Secret Stitcher sent me this lovely Easter chart from Elizabeth's Designs plus the DMC to stitch it with and some Marshmallow Peeps! The Peeps intrigued the kids no end, so it will be interesting to see what they think of them when Easter Sunday arrives! Thank you Jenny!

In a trade for the 'Bags' book from the Tassenmusuem, Ellen from With My Needle sent me a wonderful package of her charts! She sent Rose Garden Sewing Case and the lining fabric and beads for the closure, Petit Carnet d'Ouvrages, an Emblem of Love and Beauty and Grace, plus some of the lining fabric used for Flowers for Lily! I am truly spoiled! I can't choose what to stitch next now!

And finally, a picture of my little Joe from football today. They had a great time and I took some great pictures, but only got a couple of good ones of my own kids. I got some fantastic pics of my friends' children though!

Love those bags!!! How sweet they are. I love Easter. We hung plastic eggs on a little tree today and it just makes the yard look so festive. Hope your family has a blessed Eastertide.
