No, you can not store playdoh in your nose!

'Mamma, ik heb playdoh in mijn neus gestopt!'* was the proud declaration of my Mr. Joe last Thursday afternoon.
I think you can guess where we went from there. To the hospital. Where the dr told me he couldn't see the playdoh and that either it had been swallowed, ejected or it had taken up residence in the sinus cavity.
So, the course of treatment was to wait and see what happened. If a prurulent discharge started to emit from his nose or if he started to smell then we would know the playdoh was still in there.
If not, then we could assume it was out.
To be fair to Joe, he was exceedingly well-behaved when the dr was inserting all kinds of objects in his nose to try and see what was happening in there. He didn't struggle at all.
Guess what happened today?
Joe's nose started bleeding and discharging and there is the fine aroma of rotten eggs about his person.
Gah.
So now we go back to the dr, then back to the hospital, then to the Ear Nose and Throat surgeon to see if he can get the bloomin' stuff out of his nose!
* 'Mom, I've put playdoh in my nose!'

Oh goodness ~ never a dull moment ~ aren't kids fun? Take good care and hope he learns his lesson this time :)
Not so good news. Children do these kind of things, and most of the times everything comes along fine. but not this time apparently: I hope the matter will be solved by the doctors today.
good luck
I'm glad I've been spared the object in the nose dilemma. Hope Joe is OK.
Oh, Ash, I just can't believe what you've been through lately! And Joe ... sigh. He reminds me of the (horror) family stories about my little brother. My brother did survive it all, so there is hope!
You take care and try to find something to laugh about in all of it.
Ahh, poor Joe and poor you! Goodness, the things children will do and the places that they will stick things never ceases to amaze me. I hope that everything went well and that they were able to clear out his sinuses!
Oh no, poor Joe - and poor you!! Hope it all gets sorted out OK :)
