Love Never Fails

Stitchery and patchwork from Atelier Bep

I finished this off on Thursday afternoon, but with all the birthday festivities I waited to upload a picture. Isn' t it cute? Its from a shop called Atelier Bep and I got the kit for this at the Handwerkbeurs. The rosettes are pretty cool, just circles of fabric gathered together and secured with a button. The text is embroidered in backstitch and the stems of the wreath in stem stitch. I used a variegated DMC perle 5 for the text and wreath, and DMC perle 12 in ecru for applique'ing the heart to the backing fabric. I have some more patchwork and stitchery stuff to do and I'm hoping to get the sewing machine out today to finally put the last few rounds of quilting into my huge kingsize quilt so that we can finally have it on our bed!

When I showed this little pillow to Brad he said, 'Love never fails... to what?'

Hah!

Yup, typical bloke comment LOL. Your pillow looks great - and something I wouldn't mind trying one day ... as if I need more hobbies, adding quilting to my needlework probably isn't needed ... but it would be fun ;P
