Kidspeak III

Sebastian, while we were teasing him the other day said:

'Don't laugh me out!' when we were laughing at something he did. This is a direct translation from the Dutch 'je moet me niet uitlachen!'

He also says 'No please' instead of 'No thank you'. In Dutch its 'nee, alstublieft'. He wonders why one has to say 'Yes, thank you' in English and why 'its a pleasure' in Dutch is 'geen dank' which translates to 'no thanks' in English if literally translated.

Joe on the other hand, often asks for his 'brefkist' in the morning and a helicopter becomes 'Heli da Doctor' .

Funny little chaps :)

I've been trying to figure out if Nicky really can count, or just recites the numbers, so today I asked him how many knees he has. Without missing a beat, he replied, "Just as many as you do, mama." Kids are fabulous, huh?
