Crowned Heart Sampler

No longer a tiny pain in the a$$ sampler but instead a completed, tiny hanging pillow!

Blue Ribbon Designs Crowned Heart Sampler

I made it into a lavender sachet with a hanging loop so that my friend can hang it over a hanger in her closet or over a door handle, chest handle etc.

I used Gentle Arts threads in Poinsettia, Summer Meadow, Briar Rose and Grape Leaf on an unknown hand-dyed evenweave from my stash. The back (which you can't see) is some quilting fabric I picked up last year at the Handwerkbeurs here in Zwolle, the buttons and ribbon come from Paris. My friend Miranda bought me buttons and ribbon when she visited Paris in the summer. A truly international pillow :)

I hope my friend likes it!

Oh boy, that's an eye-catcher! No one is going to hang that little beauty in a dark closet! Your finishing skills are exquisite!

Ash, that is absolutely stunning! I've got this chart printed off in my freebies folder 'just in case', but it's never really 'called to me' - your finished pillow has put a whole different light on it - it looks gorgeous! :)

I am so sorry to read about all the problems you had stitching one of my free charts. I apologize that you had a copy with the incorrect stitch count - I got the chart fixed almost immediately - the only excuse I have is "mistakes happen". I normally check and re-check everything, but somehow that mistake "slipped through the cracks". I am SO SORRY it was a pain in the a$$ - needlework is supposed to be enjoyable! The great news is, your tiny hanging pillow is gorgeous - and the finishing is perfect! Thank you for stitching one of my patterns - I am truly impressed with your work. Great job!

Oh Belinda, don't worry ! A lot of it was my own fault - I should have put it down when I realised that there was a problem with the counting instead of carrying on at 10 pm when I was tired and couldn't see. It wasn't really a pain in the a$$ - that's just what my husband called it when he saw its title :)

I love your other designs too! Thanks for the nice comments on my work!
