A Bad News Day

I had bad news today. My daughter's adoptive mother, Lizette, died on the weekend from diabetes related illnesses. Arianne (who is 13) is apparently very fraught and is refusing to speak to anyone. My mom is going to try and phone her in the next few days to find out how she is. Unfortunately I have no contact so I can't phone her myself. It would probably just make it worse anyway.
Lizette died in the Cape, South Africa and her husband and the girls are still in Johannesburg.
It was terrible news and I feel very bad for the whole family. My mom is very distressed by all this too, obviously, and so its been a difficult day for everyone.

I was so happy seeing pictures of kittie and so glad that she found such a wonderful home with you all.
