Victoria Sampler Christmas Hearts

I finished stitching this a week or so ago and in my pneumonia-struck and couch-ridden state decided to finish it off last night. I used the metal finishing forms which worked much better than my previous attempt, mostly because I abandoned the glue! I used crimson silk for the lining behind the hardanger and a blue silk to match the linen for the back. White DMC was used to make the cording.

I like how this came out and it was a pleasure to stitch, like all VS patterns and kits.

Unfortunately the photo isn't great so the colours look washed out, but the linen is platinum and the reds and whites are very vivid against the backing. I have started the companion mini-bellpull but I have an exchange ornament to finish first.

So far, I have two exchange ornaments parcelled up and ready to go - one for the SBEBB Christmas Ornament Exchange and the other for the Aion Ornament Exchange. This last one will be for the Legacy Christmas Sampler House Exchange.

You did an amazing job on the stitching and finishing :))) I'm working on the VS Heirloom Christmas, but it's not going to be finished this year as I'd hoped. Love VS designs!
