The mouse is rousted!

We blocked up the holes, removed every possible source of food from the apartment and left the balcony door open on Tuesday night and he has gone! No smell of him anymore, no tiny feet scampering around and no sign that he has been here. He had been leaving mouse droppings behind the couch and they're not there anymore and I can't see any other signs of infestation.
The building manager sent a pest control person around today and he said that the mouse probably came down from the roof into the apartment and was attracted by the seed balls that I hung up on the balcony for the birds. Possibly the mouse was visiting in the evening every evening for some time because we usually leave the balcony door open, but we had a cold snap and had been closing it so he may have got stuck inside and wasn't able to get out.
My ultrasonic mouse chaser arrived today, but I need to go collect it from the Post Office on Monday as I didn't have the cash with me to pay for it today. It should help to keep the apartment clear of any other visiting mice.
Thanks for all the comments about Mr Mouse :) I am glad that he's gone without me having to clean up any little bodies etc!
