Our New Bike

I bought this bike on Friday from the Fietsfabriek here in Amsterdam. Rode it back from Amsterdam and today we went on a trip into the forest. The kids love it in there! Great for grocery shopping too. Next week I'm going to get a raincover for it so that the kids can be dry (and the groceries) when its raining or snowing.
It has five gears, halogen headlamp, really nice tyres, a foldable bench in the front with two three point seatbelts, a drum brake on the back wheel, back-pedal brakes and an extra seat on the back too. I put saddle bags on to hold all my extra stuff (like the lock and chain).
I'm really relieved our transportation troubles are over and without too much of an outlay and especially not the monthly outlay that owning a car would impose on us!
