Legacy Quaker Exchange

My Legacy Quaker exchange came from Shelley in Texas, who managed to avoid the hurricane and got my parcel posted on time! Isn' t it a beautiful piece? The theme was sea and sand and I love what Shelley made for me. Thank you Shelley!

On the stitching front I have been somewhat depressed. I admitted defeat finally this week and arranged to send my models back to Martina. I am having a hard time stitching anything, let alone models. I think I did ok though, I completed two complete models for her: the Friendship Sampler (formerly Sampler Mystery I) and a piece which hasn't been released yet as well as the speciality stitches on the Rose Lights model. The ones that I sent back were Midi 1 and the second re-iteration of the one that hasn't been released yet.

I feel a great sense of relief at being able to pick and choose what I want to stitch now!

Plans for this week are to finish the last bit of my redwork exchange over on the SBEBB I had finished the stitching and assembly months ago, but I had to work out something with the top of it so I've been mulling it over and I think I've decided what to do now. Let's see how it turns out.

I've signed up for two other exchanges, the Aion Round Wren and the SBEBB Christmas Ornament Exchange. The next big one coming up is Valentines where I'll be running the Valentine's Exchange on the SBEBB and on Aion. Please sign up (you need to be a member to join either bb, and there is a points system in place at Aion), but it would be fun if you could join us!

Other news is that my Dad turned 67 yesterday - happy birthday Dad! Not that he is on the Internet at all, but anyway. Mom is doing great in her new job; Brad's mom has to have a hip replacement at some point which she is whinging about terribly so its best to avoid phoning her for a while; I have my visa appointment on Tuesday for our trip to the UK - I wonder if they will prove troublesome about it or not. It involves going into Amsterdam so I'm going to take my bike on the metro with Joe. My friend Terri is back from USA so I have a gym partner again - yay!

And life goes on! Hope everyone has a fulfilling week.
