Ugh. Guess what? I had made a mistake in the satin stitch motif under the klosters and only realised after completing them so I had to rip it. Then I looked and I didn't have enough ecru Perle 8 left so instead of ordering some more I decided to just start again with the 100 yard lengths of silk in natural #8 and #12 that I have in my stash.
So, I switched the band around - the heart I stitched before is now at the other end and I'll do the cross stitching around it and make a pincushion out of it. I've now re-stitched the heart and started on the satin stitch motifs below it on the other end of the band in the natural thread. Only this time, I finished the kloster heart and realised that I have 6 threads to the edge of the band on one side and 8 threads on the other! aaargh! I'm not restarting it - a third time will kill me!
