I forgot to mention my book haul last Thursday. I had a pretty good morning shopping with Joe - we shopped for books, had coffee and cake together and bought some clothes for Seb and mid weight coats for Seb and Joe with some discount coupons I had. And all this with not even one tantrum!
Anyway, to the best part - the books!
I got :
Neil Gaiman's American Gods. I'm reading this right now and I love it!
The Historian - Elizabeth Kostova.
The Apothecary's House - Adrian Mathews.
The last two are set in Amsterdam so the bookshop had a special price for them. I love reading books set in places where I have lived! The descriptions seem so alive. The books are probably not literary masterpieces but they're great for reading bythe sandpit while the kids play.
