Stitching Update 9 April

by Ashleigh

So far this month I've:
  • stitched this months instalment on the Heart Sampler
  • stitched almost all the first two months instalment on the Band of Many Colours by Eileen Bennett. I am 3 months behind with this one so I am trying to catch up! This is a SAL with the With my Needle and Pen newsletter group.
  • got my linen (40 ct) and thread (Thread Gatherer Silk n Colours in Black and Cranberry Swirl) for the Permin Celle 1826 sampler. I stitched two samplers today - one on the 27 ct that came in the kit and the other on the 40 ct and the 40 ct looks far nicer.
  • finished most of the Bunnies in the Garden needleroll - just a little left for tomorrow. As you can see from the picture on the designer's website its quite tiny! But that belies how much work there is in assembling it. So far I have the outer pieces assembled and I need to assemble the pincushion and scissor fob now and sew the ribbon around the pincushion, make the button loop fastening the pincushion to the main roll, attach the needlepage, put cording around the scissor fob and attach the button that holds the main roll together. Phew.
I'm still waiting for threads for my model.

Hey Ash,I just stumbled on your blog, so I thought I'd say hi!It's nice to read about the tribulation of a young mom stitcher in Holland... it does ring some familiar bells. :-)Take care,Sophie
