Historic Stitches Acorn Thread Keeper

I finished this up yesterday. It was fun to make but a pain to turn inside out after stitching the edges together. I used my mom's technique of 'baste (tack) often and iron much' while assembling and it really helped.

The design is by Historic Stitches and the painted thread keeper is made by Liberty Hill. I used the recommended threads, Gloriana silks, and my own choice of fabric - 35 ct R&R in Antique Cotton. The lining fabric came with the kit. The ribbon is also Gloriana, 7 mm in Autumn Arbor. The needlepages are made out of wool felt and doctor's flannel (one of each) and I pinked the edges with the pinking shears.
