I finished this over the course of the week. It was great fun to stitch - loads of special stitches, including four sides, palestrina knots, smyrna, spider web roses, rosettes and rice stitches. The finishing was pretty intricate too - all the pieces are lined and the pin cushion in the centre is tufted with smyrna crosses before being attached to the main piece. The edges are hemstitched and the lining is attached with hemstitching once all the pieces are assembled on the front. The pockets are also lined and there is a magnet under the tufted pincushion to hold one's needles.. As you can see, my counting pins now have their very own home!
This is the whole thing including the needlebook and scissor weight:

This was a fabulous piece to stitch. You can find the details at Hillside Samplings website and of course, I couldn't have done it without the help of the ladies on the Legacy board.
