Just another day waving on its way past ...

Seems to have been a week of that (waving on its way past). I did clean my house today - thanks to www.flylady.net I am now much more organised. I even did the Mission today and sorted all the tupperware into one area and put the lids in a ziploc bag. Yay me!

Joe is sick at home today. He still says his ear is sore. This has been going on since Monday and his temp is mildly elevated - around 38.5C. If its still up tomorrow I might take him to the dr.

I phoned for the appointment with the child neurologist for Seb today and have to send the documentation in before they can assess the wait period for the appointment. He has problems with motor skills on the right hand side of his body - arm, hip, leg - and before he can go for physio he needs to see the neurologist.

Seb has a new friend at school who seems very nice. His name is Adel and he is new in school. I talked to his mom today and she is English speaking and seems really nice. They live close-by too so hopefully we can make a playdate for them. Seb is K'Nex'ing us to death. He has made all the K'Nex items that came in his 250 piece bumper box bar one or two that need the rods bent (his hands aren't strong enough), and he finished making and remaking the helicopter Lego that he got for his birthday. Now he says he wants the rest of the Lego sets in that series. This is for ages 6 - 12. I fear what he will be playing with when he is 12? Hacking computer systems maybe? ;)

We're starting to read Harry Potter to him tonight - should be fun!

On Monday I went for my acupuncture session. I haven't lost weight but I blame Disney for that. I have to start all over again because of the junk food blowout at Disney and my next appointment is in 2 weeks. I have some new needles now and they were a bit painful on Monday and Tuesday but they seem ok now.

On the stitching front:

  • My model has come to a bit of a standstill due to running out of a few colours of thread that will take about two weeks to come.
  • My Heart Sampler has its current band completed and so its been put away til next month.
  • I'm catching up on the Hillside Samplings Stitching Chair Necessaire now. There is hardly anything left to do - I am a bit ashamed that I left it unfinished for this long.
