Baby tooth blues...

I went into Amsterdam this morning to have the next stage of my dental implant done. For those who don't get to see me often, and might not know, I had an incisor removed last year in August and I've been having the implant procedure done since then. It was a baby tooth that never came out as the adult tooth didn't develop. Finally after 30 years it gave up the ghost so I had to make a choice about what to have done to fill the gap.
The sequence of events has been:
- Tooth removed in August, left to heal until early December.
- Metal screw inserted in jawbone through incision in gum in December, left to heal until now.
- Cap placed on the metal screw today by incising the gum and attaching the cap to the screw today. Must heal for 2 weeks, then I can have the impression made for the tooth.
- Two weeks later I get my new tooth! I can't wait!
