Mailed off that, Brad's Pluim voucher, my AGIS claim for my tooth which will probably be rejected and the parcel for my brother. My interaction with the postal worker was interesting. I spoke in Dutch and she answered in English and so on and so on. Until eventually I said, in Dutch, 'I am trying to practice my Dutch' to which she replied 'and I am trying to practice my English!' How peculiar ...
Then I went to the dry cleaners and forked out an amazing 44 euros for cleaning my suede coat. On to the market where I found I had left behind the two DMC numbers that I needed so I guessed. Got one right, got the other wrong. *sigh*
Bought a new lampshade for the bedroom lamp and found out that the little ring inside the lampshade is called a 'verkleiner' in Dutch - literally a 'make it smaller' when translated. Got one of those too and fitted the shade to the lamp later.
Met Marijke for coffee at the Hema. She brought me a lovely potplant of tulips in a bowl. I will enjoy watching them flower. Had a vanilla coffee and we chatted. In fact, we chatted so much that I was almost late to fetch Joe! Stopped quickly on the way to preschool and got fondue cheese and some smoked cheese. Nice easy dinner.
On the way to school this morning the front seat on the bike, that Joe sits in, came loose. So I had to heave both kids and all my stuff off the bike, fix the seat and then put them all back on. We got to school late. I explained to the headmistress and also got the request form for holidays outside the school holiday period so I can fill it in for our Disney Holiday.
This afternoon the boys are being impossible. Joe pulled out the larder cupboard in the kitchen and emptied all my herbs on the floor and pulled the cabinet too far and it came off its hinge. Sebastian closed all the windows in my user and then said it wasn't him. Grrrrr.
Six Nations rugby on tv this weekend. Brad says the first match is at 2 tomorrow. Guess we'll be watching that then??
