Dreaming of Disney ...

We are booked to go on 1 March for 3 nights and 4 days staying at the Sequioa Lodge and travelling via Disney Express from Brussels South. I need to book a seperate train trip from Schiphol Amsterdam to Brussels South. We leave at 12.55 on 1 March from Brussels and arrive at Disney at 14.29. We return on 4 March at 15.42 from Paris to Brussels. I have booked a Montana room which is a suite (sort of) as all the standard rooms were full. The surprising part, well, I suppose its not that surprising after all, is that the cost for the weekend leaving Amsterdam directly to Paris on 4 March and returning on 6 March was 30 euros more expensive than going in the week, for one night and two days less. The total cost including the extras like cancellation insurance and the special birthday treat is 946 euros. I think the week is much better for us anyway, as we all get panicky in crowds. Breakfast is included, but meals are not. I'll take lots of snacks in our luggage. If our previous holidays are anything to go by we will all lose our appetites anyway ...
I booked a special Birthday Tea with the Disney Characters in the Plaza Gardens restaurant for 3 March at 16h30. I'm looking forward to seeing his face when he sees them! I asked him what he would think if he went to Disney for his birthday as he has been poring over the brochure for ages and he said 'I think it will be almost alright'. Now what does that mean??? ;)
Brad is concerned about the cost. I am concerned about the cost too, but I guess an experience is a better birthday gift than a lot of toys that will turn out to be clutter? I paid with our Dutch credit card which comes off our bank account thirty days after payment so this is theoretically paid for in full. Its not going to just add to a mountain of debt - it just means we have to put some other plans on hold for a bit. Like the bathroom. But what the hell - seeing the pure enchantment on Seb's face should be worth it.
